Devices and sync

Apple Health, Health Connect, wearables and your own scripts.

How syncing works

Every device you sign in on keeps a local copy of your data. What you log is saved on that device first and sent to your account in the background, so logging works on a slow connection and the entry appears on your other devices once it has uploaded.

All sources land in the same trackers. Each connected source is listed with its status and last sync on Integrations (account menu › Connections).

Apple Health (iPhone)

Apple Health data reaches Healthmaxx through the iPhone app; the web can't read it directly. In the iPhone app, open Integrations, go to the Apple Health section, choose how much history to import and tap Connect. iOS asks which data types to share: Healthmaxx reads only the types you allow and never writes to Apple Health.

Later imports only fetch what changed. Tap Sync Now to pull the latest data straight away.

Health Connect (Android)

On Android, Health Connect syncs through the Android app (see Download). Open Connections in the app, connect Health Connect and allow the data types you want to share. If Health Connect isn't installed, the app links you to it.

Cloud connectors

Wearables with a cloud account, such as Whoop and Oura, connect from Integrations on the web: press Connect, approve access on the provider's site, and you come back to Healthmaxx. Healthmaxx asks for read-only access. Providers that aren't available yet are marked Coming soon.

Custom integrations

To send data from your own scripts or devices, press New integration on the Integrations page. You get an ingest URL and a token that is shown once; your script posts its readings to that URL with the token. Revoke the integration to stop the token at once.

Data from custom integrations is labelled Custom (unverified) and never feeds your baselines or readiness.

Disconnect a source

Disconnect a connector from its card on Integrations, or Apple Health from the iPhone app. Syncing stops straight away. You can also revoke access in the provider's settings or your phone's Health settings.
